What Flare vs Sunburst will not generate, how prompts are screened, what a refusal costs, how repeated refusals pause an account, and how to appeal.

Flare vs Sunburst runs your text prompts on two GPT Image 2.5 models. This page says what we refuse, how we check, what a refusal costs, and how to reach a person. It applies to every prompt and every result. It is part of our Terms of Service.

What we will not make

  • Sexual content involving anyone under 18, real or synthetic, including requests for it. Such a request closes the account at once; where the law requires it, it is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (18 U.S.C. § 2258A).
  • Nude or sexual imagery of a real, identifiable person without their consent, including "undressing" a named person or placing them in a sexual scene.
  • Explicit nudity and pornographic content of any kind.
  • Content that harasses or demeans a person or group, or that depicts someone as coerced or unwilling.
  • Anything illegal where you are or where we are, and anything that violates OpenAI's usage policies, which the models enforce on their side too.

Swimwear in a product shot, art, fashion, medical illustration and ordinary photography of people are fine. When a request is ambiguous we err on the side of refusing, and you can appeal.

How prompts are checked

Every prompt is screened by an automated classifier before it is sent to a model and before any credit moves. The model provider screens it again and may refuse on its own. Nothing is reviewed by a person unless you appeal or the classifier flags the most serious category.

What a refusal costs

  • A request refused on content keeps credits: 3 credits when our own screening refuses it before submission and sufficient credits are available, the full price of the image when the provider refuses it. Requests involving sexual content with a minor close the account without a new screening charge. This is stated next to the Run button.
  • A confirmed technical generation failure is refunded in full, automatically. A browser connection interruption is not a confirmed generation failure: the task may continue and can be checked in My creations.

Repeated refusals

  • Three refused requests in a row, or five within 24 hours, pause image creation on the account for 24 hours. A delivered image resets the "in a row" count.
  • A second pause within 30 days lasts 7 days.
  • A third pause within 90 days lasts 7 days and holds the account for a human review, which we complete within 72 hours.
  • A second non-consensual request within a week goes straight to a 7-day pause.
  • Sexual content involving a minor closes the account immediately and permanently.
  • One account per person. Accounts created to get around a pause, or to collect additional free credits, are closed and their credits are void.

While paused you can still download your images, manage billing and appeal.

What we keep

Every refusal is recorded with the account, the time, which check refused it, the category and the classifier's decision id. Refused prompts are kept as an audit record that is never shown in your history. Registration IP address and browser details are kept as described in the Privacy Policy.

Appeal

While signed in to a restricted account, use the appeal page. A person reads every appeal and answers within 7 days; a 24-hour pause simply expires and is not appealed. If we agree a refusal was wrong, the credits it kept are returned. Decisions about sexual content involving minors are not open to appeal.
